Metadata: where the spirits live

Right now every token's metadata is served from https://pooka.life/meta/<id>.json — and every token shows the same shared sleeping pre-reveal image, because the spirits have not woken yet.

  • Now: metadata comes from pooka.life/meta/<id>.json, one shared sleeping image for all tokens.
  • At reveal: after the full collection art is composited, the team switches the baseURI to pinned IPFS — a single on-chain transaction — and every spirit wakes at once.
  • After that: metadata can be frozen permanently with freezeMetadata, so it can never be changed again.

Our anti-vaporware principle

Everything listed here is verifiable on-chain; nothing in these docs promises functions that do not exist. If a feature is not deployed, we say "planned" — and until you can read it in the explorer, treat it as a plan, not a promise.
